What is FI7108? Is it a service bulletin? Doesn't match the format Mazda use.

Or is it Fitting instructions?

 

My curious nature has possibly led me to Trailer wiring harness installation for a KE CX-5.

Am I right?

 

Yes correct. Its fitting instructions. I can see in a 2012 post that the issue 1 is on Mazda Forum however i need issue 2 to confirm that the wiring harness I have is correct

 

Wiring harness should be the same from memory.

Only difference from memory is version 2 removes the option of Reverse park sensor over-ride/ cancelation when the trailer is plugged in.

I will try and send you a PM with version 2.

 

Take that back, there never was a version 2.

Just looked it up.

There was the previously mentioned changes in wiring, but no other changes.

the car is a NOV/2013 build and I was given the towbar off a 2015. Went to wire it with my old man (he knows electronics) and he suggests it won’t work. Left side of wiring harness only has a 2 pin VS 3 pin as mentioned in FI doc.

I bought the new wiring harness from Mazda and turns out it’s exactly the same and has the Issue: 2 Doc.
