Default Hodges Mazda dirver seat rubbing center console and wrong grade oil

First oil change and a problem with the driver's seat rubbing the center console. I took it to Hodges Mazda in Jacksonville. The dealership was unable to fix the driver seat rubbing against the center console, making noise. According to the tech, the seat with 2500 miles is worn by my 100lbs daughter, causing the rubbing. It was like this when we bought it new, and I waited until the first service to address it. Oil for the 2.5T is supposed to be 5W-30. They used 0W-20. When I asked them, they told me it was an error on the billing sheet. I have no trust in this dealership. I bought the car from this dealership and had a good experience, but I lost all trust after the first visit to the service department. This is why I normally change my own oil but this is my daughters car and was just going to use the dealership. I feel like I need to change the oil because it will drive me crazy thinking they put the wrong oil in. Yes I know because I'm a car guy that 0w-20 probably won't harm it vs 5W-30, but it is already part of the oil consumption VINS and I expect it will probably burn a bit more oil with the 0w.

It may not be a major problem. I'd keep an eye on the oil level for now. Change back to the recommended when convenient.
In Florida, there's no need for 0W oil. You could even go th 10W-30 if you wished. Either way, check oil level regularly.

The use of 0W-30 oil has nothing to do with geography, it has to do with mpg. Thinner oil, higher mpg in the NA engine. Is it significant? Don’t know. My dealer used 5W-30 dino oil rather than synthetic at my first oil change, but IMO turbos should use synthetic oil. Period. The next change I used 5W-30 synthetic, I “feel” better now.

the OP was worried about oil consumption due to the 're-vised' valve seals, not so much mileage.
As Mazda engines seem to warm up quickly, the 0W or even the 5W isn't much of an impact on overall
mileage in my opinion. YMMV.

As for the seat issue I have had that in both of my cars 19 and 21. I think its just a thing for the CX-5.
