Default High mileage first time buyer

Hi I was wondering if any one can advise on purchasing a used SUV cx-5 from 2012 - 2014 plate with mileage 100k plus close to 150k. What things are best to look out for? What maintenance major works are required for these cars at this type of mileage? Amy advice will be appreciated.

That is an old car. I would only consider buying if it had complete service records.

If possible, get all the previous owner and maintenance info. I see you are in the UK, is this close to 150K kilometers or miles?

I bought a 2015 CX5 Grand touring with 126k miles on it. The body and underneath is pretty mint for a Northeast U.S vehicle. Engine, Trans and front/rear diff oils was taking care of. I just replaced spark plugs, checked brakes..etc. The only thing that is driving me nuts is a chirping noise that I now think is coming from the rear shock. I had looked at a bunch of other CX-5's with 100k+ miles on them and a lot of them had abnormal engine noise ( not the skyactive loudness ). Like any used or even new vehicle, check it out in great detail.

It may mean nothing but I read of several Mazda 6 sedans that made it to 600,000 miles.
Likely a lot of that was highway miles, but still.
take it for what it's worth.
