Flat towing 2021 CX-5 FWD
Just purchased a 2021 CX-5 Touring, FWD vehicle. I asked and was told that the vehicle was flat towable in neutral. So, now I have researched and have not been able to find any information on the equipment needed to flat tow this behind an RV. Specifically does anyone have information on where I can go to get a baseplate for towing the CX-5? Also any information on this would be appreciated. The owners manual says this vehicle is not flat towable, but multiple dealer websites say this model is towable 4 wheels down.
It seems the simplest answer is to tow with a dolly, but then I would need info on brakes and light wiring as I have found none of this online yet. Hopefully just not using the right keywords! Thanks for any information.

Based on my experience and basic know-how about these things.... I agree with you to tow your FWD vehicle behind your RV with the front wheels up on a dolly. OK if it needs to be flat towed a few blocks to a garage when in neutral, I believe that the transmission MAY tolerate that (... although I would not do that personally)
