I currently have a 2019 CX-5 that replaced my wife's 2005 RX-8 that I totaled. Recommendation is use the warranty while you can.
You have no idea why someone, who is very capable of doing their own work, wouldn't take their car to the dealer for simple maintenance, like oil changes?

It's been my experience (over 45 years) that the less your car sees of the dealer the better off you are. This is assuming that the individual working on said car knows what he/she is doing.

Warranty items are one thing, routine maintenance is another.

These are my ramps too. An old 2x12 cut on a bias. Works for my wife's Subaru Legacy. Good to hear it will work for my new CX-5.
My old 2007 Outback had enough clearance, I could just slide under it without any ramp.

When I buy a new car I let the dealer do the changes at the recommended time/miles. This way if there is a warranty issue I don't have to worry about having them challenge my records to get out of a repair. Cost me extra, however a peace of mind.

Good luck .

Peace of mind is exactly why I do my own work. Your warranty will NOT be effected by you doing your own work, routine maintenance included.
