i've put a lot of both functional and cosmetic upgrades on my "candy apple red" CX-5, from gas filled hood props to MAZDA roof racks and interior cosmetic mods like lighted door sills and many "brushed aluminum" pieces (door handle surrounds, CX-5 pedal covers, etc. from Ali Express (China) and all very well made.

Recently while hunting I cracked my OEM intercooler on a rough road. Having had a CorkSport oil catch can installed earlier so I knew their products had good quality and were made in USA I was ready to get a CorkSport intercooler and turbo tubes. OK!! at least another 5 horsepower but felt like 10 hp on my butt dyno. And then theirs the much increased throttle responsiveness .

Then I put a set of wider Michelien 245/50/19 Cross Climate 2 tires. A bit better handling but MUCH better feeling of control and lack of "greasiness" (hydroplaning) in heavy rain. YouTube videos have owners demonstrating how good they are in deep snow. I ski so I'll soon discover if they are as good in snow as advertised.

So now "My Precious" is all upgraded, inside and out, cosmetically and functionally. It was not inexpensive but well worth it.
