I answered your exact question and added more empirical facts and information. Sorry you don't understand it.

As far as your oil changing logic goes.....well obvious DIY formulated.
But your choice of oil is GREAT. I have at least a case or more in the garage for various engines.

As for oil analyzed your response also indicates maybe slow done HOT ROD read what I posted again! It is more to see what is in the oil and give you a base line for future reference to what is going on in your engine! lol

Even my completely logical answer was not agreed with. Very hard to come to an agreement with some on this forum.
No you are butt sensitive as always and not experienced in the Automotive industry. I also added more to your post in a positive and informational fashion. So really dude.... whatever you did for a living I am sure I would trust your experience but as we really know very little about you after all these years who know?. LOL

LOL I thought I was reading my own response.... all of yours , but I also belong to higher grey matter forum as well . And I own as many cars as you....... when I was 16. LOL Now I think last count was close to 200.
BTW I am the same in person as I am on the internet and have met with likely about 100 various members on different forums. A few on this forum Your posting info about how many forums you belong to while it is a norm it is not n any way p[ractical or logical to say that you have vast experience with the members on those forums. There are what we call core members and even those change over time. So unless your life is spent 24.7 on all those forum please don't say you know all them and the members.?

Frankly the few members on various forum that post BY DIY or argumentized towards my information that is not only fact support empirical in nature and personally experienced based on a long time education in this field of study for pretty much my interior life often makes them a TARGET for some trying to give better information and help.

But hey Like I often post go to this thread and read it learn about a few members and maybe post your info? Otherwise expect me to continue to entertain by your responses and correct DIY bad information!

Automotive Forums

Another source of information many people use on the internet are automotive forums. There are hundreds of forums dedicated to specific vehicle makes and models as well as more general automotive forums. Forums contain a wealth of information, but also a lot of misinformation and conflicting information.

The typical forum user will post a question in hopes that other forum users will respond and offer an answer or advice on how to solve the problem. But with all forums, there is no guarantee that anyone will respond or that any responses they do receive will be accurate or helpful. It all depends on the other forum members and who posts a response. Many forum users are quite knowledgeable and can provide exactly the kind of answer you are looking for. Other forum users want to be helpful and may venture a guess or offer an opinion that may or may not be accurate or may be totally wrong. In other words, it may be hard to distinguish good advice from bad advice.

Most forums are moderated to delete spam, rants and off-topic posts and comments that don't belong on the forum. But in most instances, the accuracy of the posts and responses is left up to the forum users. There's no editing or vetting or review of the comments that are posted. Consequently, if inaccurate or incorrect responses are posted to a question, other more knowledgeable users may or may not challenge a post or offer additional information.

We've seen many forum responses degenerate into endless bickering between conflicting points of view. We've also seen a lot of posts that totally contradict one another. There's nothing wrong with a good debate provided the people involved know what they are talking about. But unless there is some resolution to the debate, or some serious fact checking involved, the person who posted the original question may be left confused and no closer to finding an answer than when they started.

Advise for you Point37, on any forum as a new or fairly new members before you start assuming that you know the personality I suggest that you look into their response history, and what threads they may have started. You can get a lot of information and learn about the member, hopefully intelligent enough to understand them and not call the basically a Key Board warrior that hides behind a computer to be a personality they are not in the real world! Not sure but I don't think we have any members that are phycologists to chime in on this material of thought? I think I have read every response sine you join that you posted and have made a beginning conclusion about your skill level and automotive knowledge which is now changing. And what was neutral I now reevaluated that now and IMHO see only another DIY at best?

when i said 5th car i meant total, ever...not at the same time...i squeeze as much as i can out of them and unload them...i have no need to own more than 1 at a time...i assume those other 4 cars are in a junkyard somewhere...i'm not a car guy...but i need a car to get me from point a to point b and i like it to have certain features i deem important or i add them if i can...after that i just drive/maintain it till it dies or a repair costs more than the car is worth...which is why i try to buy somewhat reliable cars from reliable car companies...my top 4 are toyota, honda, mazda and subaru...i typically won't look at any other brands...i just want to drive it, not have to wrench on it and waste more time...i drive a lot on the highway for work and i don't enjoy it as it eats up time that i could be spending doing something else...and if i wanted to enjoy a ride i'm choosing something with two wheels over something with four wheels 100% of the time

i didn't say i had vast in-person experience with members on all those forums...i don't have time for it...i do have enough experience with some members on certain forums to know their e-personality and whether or not i care to spend the time to interact with them or not

i just posted in one of those career threads but people will get to know more about me over time...i mean this isn't a dating website

and thanks for the description of pretty much every forum

listen i don't know you...nor do i have the time to read everything you have posted on this forum...i know full well that you know more than me about cars, a lot of people do as i know very little about cars and i have never said that i did...i learn things as i go...i'm not a mechanic...nor do i want to be...so now you don't have to assume anything about me when it comes to car knowledge...i can look past the snarky responses i received from you right after joining and interacting with you...no worries on my end...but expect to receive the same in return once in a while

I am not thinned skinned. As long as you fall in the guidelines of this forum you can call me anything you want. I never take it personal and always consider the source!

Thank You!

Funny you say that, while I cant post there actually a couple forums I get paid for technical advice and recommendations and services on.
You can look but you wont find them mainly you don't have any of the products or type of vehcles.

That was me but now at 71+ with back issues and yet another run in with a "I didn't see the motorcycle" driver two years back, I'm now regulated to this 4-wheel forum.
I'll likely never see a track or 150+ MPH again (on the ground that is).
And definitely no more 86.78mph best average GPS plotted two-wheel speeds on the Kanc anymore but I can say my CX-5 is spirited enough to give my passengers a white-knuckle ride across it
Oh yeah, I always use full synthetic oil in the manufacturers recommended viscosity.
Best rated or best you can afford.
