EGR Valve Part and Fix
Hi all,
Our Mazda CX5 (UK 2017 model, 2.2 diesel) is not in good health
Mechanic friend says it is the EGR valve (he run a scan, and the performance has dropped drastically) - he thinks it's clogged with gunk, and half open/closed & stuck.
He phoned Mazda and they want nearly £1,000 for the part, and that's without gasket kit. He has had real trouble finding the part elsewhere. He mentioned that there's a code on the EGR side plate (which could be used to find comparable parts) but we'd have to remove it first to see.
Hoping someone has been down this road, and can offer advice on how to avoid this huge dealer expense - perhaps there's someone with the correct part number, or link to a lower cost alternative part?
