drivers side seat doesnt go backwars or forwards
my drivers side power seat no longer moves backwards or forwards, all the other seat control seatings seem to work like the lower lumbar support and if you want to lean back I am referring to the one that adjusts for the lenth of you legs between the gas pedal any thoughts of what might have happened ?
You don't say what year.
They are generally two fuses for the seats make sure both are okay (I'm not certain if they control each seat or specific seat movements).
If they are then look under your driver's side seat and make sure the cables are okay and nothing is stuck in the tracks or under the seat.
The best way to look is from the rear passenger area behind the driver's seat.
Possible things to look for:
The cables can get loose and/or become detached.
Things can get caught under the seat and/or in the tracks.
Tracks can get offset from each other and jam.

If the other motorized seat adjustments work and you confirmed what Labstah recommend to look at then your seat motor is likely failed.
There is generally only one fuse for all the power seats so if the other are working its not a fuse issue. But its only take a second to confirm the fuses!
As much as I hate using the term "not uncommon" with many platforms. If you think about it the drivers seat get adjusted so far less then the passenger side. I mean we as the driver don't get into the driver's seat everyday and adjust the seat. But passengers will fiddle with anything on that side of the car!!! LOL
