Unhappy Drive in movies....car turning off

Hi guys,

My partner has a 2015 CX-5 that we like to take to the drive in movies. We need to leave the car on to be able to use the fm radio to hear the movie. Our issue is that after about 15 mins or so of having the car on but no engine running the car will automatically turn itself off.

We have looked through the manual and googled a bit with no results.

Anyone know of a way around this automatic turn off?

Thanks

I'm not sure how long this lasts...

With the engine running and the shifter in park, hold the shifter button in as you press the start button. The infotainment system will remain on for some period of time.

Either pump the brake pedal every 15 minutes or try leaving the transmission in neutral instead of park.

This will tell the car your still there & listening to the stereo.
