Default Door catch

Need to replace the door catch on my DS Mazda CX5. Can I replace this without removing the door panel? It looks straight forward. Any advice?

Abbreviation are better not really used on forums especially when they are made up. DIY term DS= driver side .

Because we use and subscribe for the shop version ofALLData which uses FSM = ( factory service manual ) procedure the proper way is to long to shorten down to post . If you are going to do the work I recommend to use a factory service manual that is avalible in the inter to show you the exact way to do the service. Looking it if you try DIY shortcut you are more likely to damage parts .

Or pay for a single use subscription and download your own personal FSM
