Question Differences between 2016 CX-5 & 2019?

Looking to lease a new 2019 right now, but used 2016s are around $20k so that might work better, but concerned about what options would not be on the 2016 vs the 2019.

Definitely looking for an AWD model & Grand Touring at the very least...

If road noise is a concern, the 2019 is quieter. Also crash tests are improved as far as I know. So if your budget permits, I would go with the 2019.

Default Go with 2016

A grand touring 2019 cx5 has the same engine and output. MSRP is 31k. If you get a 2019 you should go with the gt reserve or signature which puts out 250 hp with the turbo. MSRP 34 k. I just got a used 2016 for 20 k and got the undercoat spray for noise reduction but mostly for bad Pennsylvania winters. 10,000 + dollar difference so my opinion is get a 2016 unless you buck up and get the only 2019 cx 5 worth getting, the gt reserve or the signature. Also depends on if you like the Mazda look or the copied Jaguar front grill and hood. I like both honesty. You will be happy either way you go.

If you're looking to do a lease, lease a new car. The 17+ models are different inside and out.

The 2016's have some interior problems, or at least mine did. For one, I had to have the leather steering wheel replaced by Mazda twice now for premature peeling. They also fixed several interior rattles under warranty. I also had to have my driver seat replaced because it wouldn't stay strapped or secured underneath. My passenger seat's leather is wearing pretty badly on the bottom.

Its a nice car, but the 2019's are much more premium and use higher quality parts, like nappa leather. I have read teh 2019's are much more quit, as well.
