If anyone gets a chance when the Diesel version gets to the states, buy one, it is so smooth, with mid-range power to spare, I live in Misawa Japan, retiring here this summer, so I just drove one, and ordered one after comparing it to several other compact including the new honda Vezel, a AWD hybrid SUV based on the new FIT platform.
Any questions about the Diesel CX-5, or issues that pop up, I will post them, should get it mine by end of Feb.

Oh they only sell the 175 horse power 310 torque version here.

JapaneseDiesel - Thanks for report on the high powered diesel CX-5. I know many in North American market are patiently waiting for this diesel model.
