dent in CX-5
Hi all,
I have a dent in my front wing of my 2019 CX-5 and to mend it the garage are saying they will need to remove the wing and to do this they need to disable and reset the MRCC. Is this correct? They are charging over £400 just for this!
Thanks for your help,

Hi Grim reaper, thanks for your reply. Before I go and see them, just so I am completely assured of this; so there are no circumstances that would require, when removing the bumper (to remove the wing which has a small dent on the upper surface of the wing) the radar to be turned off or reset afterwards? You are saying they are basically trying it on?
Post a pic so we can see the damage. www.imgur.com
If it's just the bumper plastic pushed in, sometimes you can heat it with a heat gun or hair dryer and push/mold the plastic back into place.

If that part is metal then have a dent less paint repair guy look at it. They can do wonders on metal.
If this is plastic then as noted try a hair dryer with some pressure behind the dent.
Good luck.

Thats not what I would call a wing. It is metal, it can be repaired by a paintless dent repair company. No need to touch the bumper or radar system. Cost should be less than UK150
