Default Dashboard Language

Hello all,

I recently bought a Mazda CX-5, early 2019. I managed to change the infotainment language to English but couldn’t change the dashboard language from Japanese to English. Does anyone know how to do it?

FYI: I have not verified the following, meaning I can't be certain it works.
If you want to change the language of the dashboard displays, you can do so by following these steps:
  1. Select the Settings icon on the home screen and display the Settings screen.
  2. Select the AD-Disp tab.
  3. Select the desired item and perform the setting/adjustment

To modify Instrument Cluster language use Forscan and change Region Code setting in AsBuilt from Japan to Europe, don't forget to recalculate CS. 720-01-01-B0-B1-B2-B3-B4-B5

Hey Mazdaon, I'm looking at doing this myself (waiting on obd2 to turn up). What does CS stand for?

CheckSum, ECU protects itself to random changes by keeping a Checksum in every line of code. Visit Mazda3Revolution and search for user SergSlim under his signature download his Mazda Excel Sheet, in IC tab line 720-01-01 enter your car values, perform the region code change and Excel would recalculate new values and the new CS. Make changes in Forscan and Save.

Yip, worked, on the Atenza and Cx-5 (Jap imports) with the 2 earlier cluster styles. Haven't tried the newest style cluster yet (2021+)

could you guide how you managed to do it?

i have an OBD reader which is just the plug no USB Outlet.

also, is it possible via the Launch Computer which is a diagnose computer - I can ask the tech to change it?
