I am looking at buying a 2024 CX 5 and it indicates in the Vin that there is no I stop or cylinder deactivation. I have tried to get additional information from Mazda with no luck. Trying to find out if all the hardware for the engine and transmission are installed and just a missing chip.

It definitely will not have the chip, but as to the hardware I'm not sure. Maybe someone else could chime in.

 

I received an answer from the salesman I am working with at the Mazda Dealership- He said it was a different head and hardware. It will be interesting to see if maybe they are tracking these to see if they hold up better than the ones with CDA.
