CX-5 rattle in rear

I have a 2013 CX5, 110k, has developed a rattle in the rear, noisy on a normal suburban road. I have eliminated the following. Dampers, roll bar, anything on/in the tail gate, any harness rear of the rear seats, broken springs, loose items under in the rear half of the car. Any ideas please. Jon

Your posting title says MX5. Just wanted to make sure you posted at the correct forum. Do you own a CX-5?

Check you rear seatbacks. Mine sometimes rattle if not seated correctly.

Same issue 2015 model

Mazda found a loose nut in/around the rear lights connection in mine when I brought up the rattling sound at a routine service. Problem fixed since - not sure if this will help you, just another idea to check
