Default CX-5 Problems

Hi, I've had my Cx-5 for a month and it's already throwing up problems.. the overall ride is good. A week ago the Engine Veichle inspection required warning came up (no warning lights on).. noticed the coolant level was low and the oil level was high.. booked it in with Mazda today and on the way the Veichle system needed inspection message came up. So Mazda have said the EGR valve is most likely faulty and needs replacing, plus the oil pick up line was at fault (slight juddering when pulling away).. Mazda don't seem to like cleaning things they only like to replace at great cost. I'm wondering if it'll be an expensive job to simply go to a garage and get both cleaned? Any advice would be great thanks..

At that age, you'll find it much cheaper to use a good independent garage.

Thanks for replying, I have found a local mobile mechanic who will come and clean the EGR for £150.. He did mention that if the EGR is knackered that some people have "by pass it" instead of the costly replacement

Certainly wouldn't hurt to add.
