I cannot find information on where to place front and rear jack stands on the CX5. The one YouTube source I found is incorrect, according to the comments. Thanks for any tips -Rob

 

look in section 7 of your owners manual (at least that is where its listed in the 2025 manual)...should have a section about changing a flat tire and shows placing the oem jack on the pinch welds behind the front tires and in front of the rear tires...but not sure what year cx-5 so can't confirm

I will lift the 2014 cx5 at the pinch welds.
Question: after lifting with a jack where do I place jack stands under the car to take the weight off the jack? Rob

 

the pinch welds are where i put my jack stands...my stands are flat so i use jack stand pads (link below)...1 pad could be used on the jack as well if needed...if i don't have to take the wheels off i use plastic ramps which can be bought on amazon, harbor freight, auto part store, etc. as they are much faster to use...i have not jacked up the whole front or whole rear so i'm not sure where those jacking points are
