consumption funny reading
I noticed that my consumption reading gets funny from time to time, and doesn't matter if temps are cold or engine is cold..Etc When i drive in 6th gear 90kmh usually it shows around 5l, but sometimes its showing 10???
Does anyone know whats the reason??
And yes why my mazda cant play regular usb stick??
Only if i put usb player it will play it..

Which model do you have (engine power)?
I have 2,2 td 150hp engine and consumption in 6th gear is 4,4-4,5 @ 90-100km/h.
High consumption reading is posibile if I accelerate fast at the beginning of drive. Anyway average combined consumption is around 5l/100km.
In my CX 5 USB is working fine. Check videoclips on youtube. Check Mazda tweek tools. Maybe that will help.

And it isn't when accelerating its in cruising..It happened to me last weekend also driving 140kmh on high way and its showing 7.7 and it start to showing like 13l for some time then came back to normal..
I must say that once time i fckd something ion that info button and then funny rading started..Or at least it seems that way..

Renato check if there is button to reset all reading etc to factory settings.
Again, I saw some time ago some Mazda owners from USA doing something similar like general reset.
Check on youtube.

i have the same "issue" on my 2014 2.2d Mazda 3. My understanding is that it's the particle filter (needed for euro 6 rating). The car will try to burn residue particles and when burning, the fuel consumption is about 2x. How often this occurs depends on the driving and how hard you have pushed the engine. I can hear a distinct difference on the sound from the engine when this cleaning occurs, especially at low speeds and low rev.
You can also take a look in the istop menu and the engine is probably not "blue" when this happens.

I have been driving my car to regular service at local mazda dealership, told them that, they even reset all on my demand but I still got same issues.
Someone has told me that it is that dtf or whats it called particle filter , that turned it self off and on (self cleaning), but doesn't make sense to me, coz hings like this..
I was going t o pick up my lady at Budapest airport from Croatia it has 278km in one direction..I get funny reading at least two times in one direction..It cannot be that self cleaning is turned on every 120km ??
I manage to record short video..

I noticed last trip that car on few occasion cant go over 160kmh for dosen of second than continue to drive normal
.And my top speed isnt even 190kmh. And that doesnt change,. ever!!
Second thing is that I drove on highway mostly 140kmh for 80% of driven time.. I spent whole resorvoar for 560km trip. computer was showing 8.8l as consuption.
There is something really wrong with my car.
mazda dealer suggest some engine cleaning that cost 600 euros, but they arent 1000% certan that this fil fix my problems.
does anyone know what could be a problem?
dpf filter isnt clogged..
