ASSUMING you are still under warranty it may be covered?
The rear tail light have multiple parts and no seal. They are not the best design and my personal complaint with them was they rattle. When turned down replacing them because it was not a warrantied item because MAZDA under their detailed warranty parts explanation deemed it not!? I wondered around the dealership sales lot and tapped several models and found this was apparent on many different model MAZDAs to have that annoying tail light rattle when I tapped on them . rant rant rant..... LOL
I will get a salvage yard pair and take them apart and solve that rattling problem in the future. LOL
Anyway should your tail light not be covered and replaced under a warranty it is a simple matter remove the tail light and carefully drill a small hole angled at the lower part of the back of the tail light to allow air to enter and help dry the moisture. Because you are doing this at the rear of the tail light short of a blasting water with a hose on the tail light it is unlikely you will get water entering the tail light. This has been a decade old fix for moisture in tail lights.
They said the tail light wasn't included in the 3yr/36k warranty? Interesting. I certainly would have gone up the chain on that one. A tail light is not a wear item (unlike the bulbs inside them). It should be covered for 3/36 unless you damaged it somehow.
Reading the complete detailed warranty I don't see how this is covered? The posted 12/12 or 3/36 is generalized not detailed. And the complete warranty information does not really place taillights in any specific catagory? *Taillights could be considered normal wear. They are exposed to the environment.

If there is moisture, as in your case, they will dry out the moisture and replace a small part behind the tail light. If there is water, as in my case, they will exchange the entire tail light for a warranty.
Mazda Service has instructions for such cases, so we are not the first to have moisture in the tail lights.
Hi does anyone have condensation issues with the rear cluster lights one mounted on the side wheel arch ? If so what did dealer say?
Out of curiosity, do you park in a garage? Bought my CX-5 in April of '17 and I've had no condensation in my taillights. When I'm home, my CX-5 is always in the garage.

Based on what you are saying nothing would be covered under the warranty - which of course is ridiculous. Wear items are parts expected to be replaced within the warranty period such as brake pads, wiper blades, tires etc. The bulbs would also be wear items, but the lens itself? No way you would not expect it to last a lifetime (or at least the 3yr/36k warranty period). I mean paint will also need to be redone eventually, but if it started peeling at 2 yrs with12k miles do you think that would be considered "wear and tear"?
