Thinking about buying CX-5 with AWD. Is it common for the AWD to leak fluid? I saw a tsb on it about some type of seal or gasket that leaks. Is this a very common problem or is there not much to really worry about? And if it were to leak how much would that cost to get repaired?

 

I own a 2018 CX-5 AWD and this is the first time I hear about a fluid leak problem. No leaks in about 1.5 years ownership so far.

 

We have a 2014 GT and absolutely no problems of that type.

 

No problems with my 2016.5.If there were any issue folks on this forum would have brought it up. I wouldn't be concerned.

 

Maybe you're referring to the engine? Timing chain cover has a few TSBs about leaking.
