Default Cell Phone holder attached to flat area in the cubby

I was just wondering if anyone has tried attaching a suction cup mounted vertical cell phone holder to the cubby in the center console. I was also considering a clamp style on the side of the cubby but don’t want to harm the leather trim

or do the center vent mounted ones work ok? I see reports of them getting stuck or rattling.

The vents will most likely break if you try a holder for your phone there. With the ability to use Carply/Android Auto, I just put my phone into the little cubby in front of the shifter.

I'll second that.

I have used this one in an air vent in my CX-5 for over a year and it has worked well for me.

I am going to try this one. Seems to be made by the same company as the BEERTE.

I got a different version and it's great. You gotta remember the hazard lights are under there if your phone is on the mount though.

I have that holder and love it. No issue at all getting to the hazard button. It's rarely used for most anyway.
