Default Caturra leather seat care-help!

Just purchases a CX5 Sig and my back seats look terrible after one week! I gently wiped them down with a damp soft cloth to remove some dirt, and they look like they've been wiped down with something that should not have been used. Marks all over them.

Any advice to clean them up, get them looking new again?

While under warranty, you should use what Mazda tells you in the owner's manual.
Non-toxic cleaners/conditioners, whatever that means.
If you wipe them down with a damp cloth you need to wipe them immediately after with a dry cloth.
Any dampness from clear water or any cleaner will leave streaks or residue.
I use the same brand leather cleaner/conditioner that I used on my custom-made leather motorcycle jackets/racing leathers for decades.
It works great and kept the leather looking new, but I won't recommend the brand that begins with an "M" as they are all opinion subjective by the user.

Do not use any leather cleaners or conditioners that have alcohol as an ingredient.
Always wipe excess conditioners off because unless you have tinted (with film) windows the UV will intensify and wear of your leather that have the high luster shine.

P&S uses alcohol as one of its ingredients…oh and antifreeze. I won’t mention that some ingredients may have come from China. This is all verified facts.

while the ads for the product are good , using alcohol on leather to any degree is not. No matter what claims are made by the supping company.

but hey in the end it’s your car and your leather seats. You can say after reading this you were not warned.

I use an older version of this product: https://www.spraywayinc.com/content/...eather-cleaner and have been very happy with it. I also use a solution of 1 part woolite to 6 parts water in a spray bottle for general cleaning which does a great job at removing the white smears which come up on my black interior.

Not sure what you are referring to, but I have used my options for years on many different cars with great results. There isn't a single way to care for leather....

Unless you changed you don't personally overall do much on your vehicles and they are parked in a garage? Which is great but not conclusive with your result experience universally.

FACT: It is the long-term effect using questionable chemicals that are in cleaners and treatments that seem to be absent reported on the www. However if ones randomly picks a platform vehcle forum and search around to can find the effects of using the wrong products on various material.
And yes there is a correct and wrong choice regarding leather treatments and conditioners. Afterall it is biologic and not synthetic material. Think about the long-term effect what alcohol or other chemicals does if you applied them to your own skin?
