As said bring it back to the dealer every time it does it to get on the record . And while I'm not saying you current dealer is incompliant, you might want to try another dealer next time it happens. So far the only 2 objectionable noise's my 2023 CX5 makes is the sub par audio system. And the fuel door sounds and feels kind of tinny and flimsy .

 

As said, bring it back to the dealer, have heard about new cars with too little ATF, and that can make hard/odd shifts.

 

That was noted years ago on a few models. Basically people were bending them. LOL Mazda did not change the design and is likely not to in the future.

These were people that either incorrectly read the dip stick or were not actually low. What Mazda dealership did was ny bring them to the top line on the dip stick as the resolve. It never caused shifting issues that were factually found caused by low fluid. The fluid would need to be over a 1qurat low to actually effect any operation of the transmission and that would almost be impossible because how there are fill on the production line which is monitored by a specific computer program.
Anyone that has dropped the transmission pan and done measurements and or look at at the pick up area in the filter can see why ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

However just to cover my **** if a vehicle was operated for more then 2-4 minutes(estimate only could be less? never experimented with my transmission) at a 40 degree angle opposing the location of the filter vented fluid pickup you could thoracically could pull all the transmission fluid from the pane sump area causing some up or down shifting problems while maintaining that angle of operation? Theoretically speaking ???? LOL
