Brand new 2023 CX5 Select Transmission Did Something Funny Twice today.
Updates for the MAZDA did not include any Transmission operating perimeters that I have read in the Mazda service tech periodicals TSBs or ECU update summaries anywhere. But if you saw something I would be interested to read the technical information on what was changed for that programing ECU updates effecting specifically the transmission?
Remember this is a MAZDA forum so really technical information about other platforms often may seem to be the same but it isn't !
Mine does the same from time to time- It makes like a thud noise when accelerating quickly sometimes like passing a car on the interstate. It is not every time though
2022 CX 5 under 9,000 miles for me

On a side note
Your transmission is still breaking in.
YES it is different when it comes to how it shifts and how the ECU is programed. You are comparing other transmission and platforms that DO NOT HAVE A SKYACTIV ENGINE that is in unique to MAZDA only in its technology.

"TECH PERFORMED POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE AND TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE PER MAZDA SPECIFICATION XXT89XFX". This is for power loss in cold weather with the 2.5T motor.
Is that what you are asking? I also have a TCU programming update sitting on my desktop right now from another forum member so they do have them. The one I have is: TCU_7000T11-0301_8017
I have yet to apply it as my CX-5 is doing pretty well for now.
I read them both completely and thank you for posting them.
But also reading a bit more than the short version you posted about them and I do recommend that you get the update as soon as you can. While it may nor be needed the update has more than what was list in the information you provided and is well worth getting!

Any software update "worth its salt" will not overwrite current files unless those files are outdated/superseded by the current update.
I have to assume Mazda software engineers are competent in that regard.
But I will acknowledge I cannot verify that personally.
