Auto high beams not working
Noticed last night that my automatic high beams were not functioning. My wife said this happened to her over the past week and hasn't seem to right itself. Is there a way to reset this on my own? All I have been doing is pushing the stalk towards the dash to activate it as I always have. It is working a standard car does and the high beams stay on even when a vehicle approaches, so I have to manually turn them off.
My lights have an automatic and manual setting, it depends on how far you turn the switch. I think if it's set to manual the lights will not auto dim. I've also discovered fog and frost can fool the sensor.
You're better off using them manually. They are WAY too sensitive to any light they see on the road including porch lights, street lights, and stores. I turned off the auto function once I realized I had better judgement of when to turn them on or off.
I feel the same way. I turn them on manually because of how overly sensitive the sensors are.
Will do. Thanks!
After turning it all off, shutting the car off and then putting it all back on auto, all seems to be well.
