Default All weather tires

Hello! I purchased a 2022 CX-5 turbo signature in March. Having driven a Subaru for 10 years prior, I’m finding that I don’t love how the car drives in rain. I imagine I won’t care for how it handles in the snow either. I’d like to replace the tires because I suspect it’s just that I’m accustomed to a different feel. Does anyone have any recommendations for tires that may be a good alternative? As you can probably tell, I’m not much of a car person!! Thanks so much!!

nokian WR4G if you can find them. I am looking at Michelin CrossClimates2 for 365. The nokians will be more than adequate in metro northeast city winters where they plow quickly. not sure what to expect from the yoko geolandar that came with my 2022.

Best tires are like "what oil should I use", both very subjective and highly opinionated.
Tires even more so as they are based on where you drive and how you drive and how much road noise you can handle.
Unfortunately, none of us drive the same or in the same conditions and our ears hear all different ranges.
Meaning what might be great for me you could find unbearable.
Which is why I'll not suggest any but ask you to do a web-search for "best tires for a 2022 Mazda cx-5 Turbo" or "Best all-weather tires for SUV"
You'll get websites like the one below who have professionally researched and evaluated tires.

I have tried most of those on the list. The defenders are ok but noisy. The contis are quiet but not best grip in the snow. Wldnt use pilot sport on an suv. Goodyear has never impressed me.

pirellis scorpions were good on a rover i had

Maybe you found a "like driver"
I just recently purchased some Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3.
I will have them installed on my 2020 CX-5 next month when I get it inspected.
I really like the way they handle on a friends Jaguar F-Pace and he says they are good in the snow as well.
Being retired I can no longer afford the luxury of running multiple sets of tires and wheels like the "old" days.
Not to mention I'm not as "fluid" as I once was at changing them over, I call AAA for any flats now.

i'm with you - i have had 2 sets of wheels with dedicated snows for 25 years and around the nyc suburbs it has mostly been a waste. One set of tires on one set of wheels is doable!

I think you will really likes the scorpions.

I have a 2018 CX-5 with AWD, and was pretty unimpressed with how the stock tires performed compared to my 2016 Crosstrek. I tried winter tires for two seasons (Pirelli Scorpions) but honestly wasn't impressed with them, either. Last year I purchased a set of the Michelin CrossClimate 2 and have used them since October, so through all 4 seasons now. I really like them a lot and much prefer not having to swap out tires for the winter. You wouldn't want to do anything silly on ice or in heavy slush, but they've worked well for me in snow and still handle well on dry pavement and in the rain. (I live in the Denver area and frequently drive to the mountains.)

Just put a set on our CX5 and am very impressed with them so far.
