Default Advice needed: scratches on bumper

Hi all, proud new owner of the 2017 CX-5 here. Unfortunately I'm already in need of a cosmetic solution for my bumper. An old lady tapped into me at a red light stop and then drove off without pulling over. It was so minor and light but her license plate left scratches on the black bumper cover. Does anyone have any advice on products or tips to reduce the scuffs? Here's how it looks:

I'm pretty bummed about it but thankful it wasn't worse.

You might want to consult with a trusted detail shop, but probably the only thing you can do is attempt to camouflage the scuffs with a product like Mother's Back to Black. This will help hide the damage and blend it with the undamaged area around it. Whatever you do, don't attempt to buff or sand the scuffs as the texturing of the black vinyl will be the first thing to go and you'll only make it worse.

Thanks for the advice! I've seen Back to Black mentioned in other posts and may give it a try.

Flood Penetrol @ Home Depot works like Back to Black, but lasts longer.

Flood Penetrol 1-Qt. Clear Paint Additive-FLD4-04 - The Home Depot

Penetrol brings back black and covers up scratches. It is highly recommended by professionals. Don't knock it until you try it. And it's cheap.

Apply with rag or paint brush. Dilute it a bit with acetone.

I am more concerned about the old lady who did the hit and run.

That's right. She could be behind you at a red light tonight!

Default Plastic film

Check your local detail shops for someone who installs 3M Protective Film. I just bought a 2017 CX-5 in Black and am having the front bumper, the grille, the small panel above the grille in front of the hood, the headlights, the mirror backs, the door handle cups, and rear bumper done.
It's not cheap but it's worth it.

You may have to clean up the damage first but I recommend doing front bumper at the very least because of the sand and rocks that it's exposed to on a daily basis.
