2025 iStop
Its only possible when either Mazda has a updated program or an aftermarket company offer a full access program to the ECI so an experienced ECU/EFI Performance Calibrator knows where to look for the program to alter it or turn it completely off. Without knowing the complete detail of what the istopp controls it is not advisable to use a few "hacks" and other offered products that claim to be able to turn it completely off. Doing so can effect your other ECU programs as well void your complete running gear, powertrain SRS and ABS warranty . And if your insurance carrier is informed by any mean they will cancel your insurance and that may also become a record should you attempt to get insurance for the Mazda from another provider.
I am not saying all of this is true but recently had a long conversation on this topic with a few attorneys regard changing ECU perimeters and who would be accountable for such changes.
Call you insurance carrier and give them a hypothetical...

...I also did not want the iStop or Cylinder Deactivation! I almost eliminated Mazda CX5 from my considerations, until I found some 2024 and 2025 cars did NOT have iStop or CD due to supply chain issues. The identifier was the 8th character in the VIN. L did NOT have iStop/CD, and M did. Sorry you're dealing with it - I also believe the only option is to disable iStop every start, or off market accessory.
