Success with cheap nav cards is a moving target. Some work, some do not. Some used to work but then don’t. There are a lot of threads on the topic, you’d be best served by reading them. Bottom line, you can risk trying it.

Default Amazon Nav card

I installed the card on Friday morning, and it worked without any glitch's or problems . Seams to work well. I wonder if I will be able to get updates in a year or so ?

I'm surprised that the NAV card wasn't included with the vehicle purchase. My 2021 CX-30 was provided with this... maybe a Canadian thing... EH!

No surprise, depending on the trim level of CX-5 the Nav card is extra $$$. A CX-30 isn’t a CX-5….

Installing it was simple, you stick the card in the slot .I fully read the owners manual ,I was looking for info/tips from people who bought and installed a after market nav card I never would expect nor would i ask nor did i ask a dealer to help . I bought the aftermarket part to save $300.00 as i'm am a cheap SOB and on a fixed income these days . All i did was post here asking for tips from those who may have bought and installed an aftermarket nav card . I fully understand that the dealer can and will only sell factory Mazda authorized parts as is in their franchise agreement.

Hi man,
to be fair I had so many problems with Amazon. Always disappointed.
I found perfect solution for this - https://navi-world.com/
now all my orders are only from this resource, just a couple of days ago they gave me a 15% coupon for Black Friday sale, I can share it with you -
naviblckfrdy.
Stay safe and good luck

I too got a nav card from Amazon since the dealer cost was ridiculous (and I can use Google Maps or Waze from my phone). Still I got one for the $49.99 price mentioned. Loaded it up works fine. I watched this guys video which was interesting, process is easy just put in the card. (
) I did read however that Mazda Connect knows these cards are not dealer cards and you won't get any updates through the Toolbox. I have just been using WAZE anyway out of habit.
