Default 2022 CX-5 small body plugs in frame?

Checking out my new CX-5 and see it was delivered with all the tires 48-50psi. Now wondering whether the 2022 CX-5 is supposed to have two small rubber body plugs in the frame, forward of the rear wheels. It would be a dealer prep item to be installed before vehicle delivery. Looking at the frame underneath I see an oval hole, maybe 1"x 5/8" that I would expect to have a rubber plug?
Thx.

I am not sure where you got the dealer vehicle prep list but I have not ever seen them on any list in decades. Not to say they are not currently on one but it would be an unusual part.

As for your tire PSI there could be numerous reasons why you read them at that and why they were not the correct as per the door jam factory recommendation.

I have at least a dozen tire psi gauges and only 3 are absolutely accurate and I use them to celebrate or adjust my reading to them.

I took a photo of the frame hole - maybe it's supposed to be not covered. Just looked odd to me. Hopefully I can attach the photo and you can take a look.

Hole in frame, forward of wheels.

You can go to a website for MAZDA OEM look under body and see if there is a cover for that area.
I am almost positive that would never be on any list for inspection and dealer prep.

The MX-5 has such holes in the bottom of the car that are supposed to be installed during dealer prep.

Supposedly these holes are for securing the car to the ship for transport. The factory includes these plugs in all new Miatas. The problem is that they don't always get installed during prep and some buyers of a new MX find the bag of plugs in their new cars and don't know what to do with them.

I purchased my MX used and the plugs were not installed nor where they in the car anywhere. I bought a set and installed em myself.

It. NOT required. Maybe you should visit a dealer and ask about the process of what is required during the flooring preparation of new vehckles. .

My suggestion to you if you cant post real facts and information dont assume with some weird asrs logic. It does not help anyone when you post none factual information.

If I am wrong about the plugs please show me the MAZDA dealer preparation assembly and or preparation and safety sheet that are given to dealers. Highlight the frame plugs so we can all see it on the preparation data sheet.

What I said ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

These covers are available in different universal shapes and sizes as well you can order them directly from MAZDA

I have dozens of assorted sizes shapes and even colors. ( I can post pictures if anyone would like ) Many Early British cars NEVER had frame and under body plugs as well many early American STEEL. I liked spraying under coating in those areas and then plugging them up.

I have to be dreaming. Now you're an expert on the MX-5 as well as the CX-5 and you know that these frame plugs aren't to be installed during the dealer's predelivery prep?

I already know that answer and I don't feel the need to prove it to the likes of you. Feel free though to go over to the Miata forum and search for 'bag of plugs' and see what you find.

Report back here once you find that I'm right. Ha! As if you would admit that you were wrong...

I'll help you out a little and show you what these plugs look like. These are most certainly on the dealer's PDI.

Callisto and Conrad 16.5, I realize you are both knowledgeable and each have strong opinions. I think it's time to bury the hatchet, preferably not in each other's heads. It's getting a little old.
