HI All

In early June I bought the 2021 CX5 GT. Had it for two weeks before some jerk rear ended it. To make matters worse, he didnt have insurance.
My CX5 has been at the dealer collision center since June 21. It needs a new lift gate, back panel, impact bar, bumper....etc.
Anywhoooo, they are having issues getting the parts from Mazda.
Mazda said its a redesign and they can not get the parts yet because they "dont exist"?!?! Anyone hear of such an issue?
I've made my first car payment while my car sits wrapped in plastic at the collision center.

*sigh*

 

Any rear part on 2021 is equal to 2020 !!

 

*shrug* I dont know. The Mazda dealer collision center said no. Plus I just saw a post on FB Mazda group where a lady with a 2021 had to wait 3 months while they sourced the parts for her CX5 after a rear end collision.

 

Yes- from 2017 to 2021 all parts are the same on the tailgate other than the logos which were changed in 20. So no - there was no redesign for '21
