Default 2021 CX5 P0126 code for coolant?

So I have a 2021 CX-5 with 12,000 miles on it and I was driving to work today when the engine light came on. the code that came up was P0126 (insufficient coolant temp for stable operation) so i checked the coolant level after it cooled off and the level was to the top? I was just wondering if anyone else has had any similar issues? Kind of irritating seeing as it only has 12,000 miles on it but i live in washington and we just got through a week long cold snap with temps in the negatives at night? Taking it to Mazda tomorrow.

Although I'd expect your stealership to be aware of this issue, take this TSB with you, just in case you have to help them out. But be advised that the updated coolant control valve has not been widely available, and you might have to wait for some time before they're able to get one for your vehicle.

Hi Garbriel - I have 2020 CX-5, about 18,000 miles, with the same issue. Did the dealer resolve for you?

Yeah, They were actually really good about it. They gave me a loner CX5 and it took them 2 days to fully fix it, the actual problem was fixed later that day but the mechanic broke a gasket that they had to overnight cuz it wasn't in stock. Overall pretty painless.

Good to read the issue is resolved. Does your paperwork show that they installed the new 'Z' part # PYFD1516Z ?

Default check engine P0126 - MAZDA CX3 - 2019

P0126 - MAZDA CX3 - 2019 - 46,000KM - I got the P0126 Thermostat coolant - went to Mazda to get it fixed - it took 2 hours and it's still under warranty - they replaced it a no cost at all 5 years warranty - not sure about the km.

I have a ‘22 Signature Turbo. Was the coolant control valve issue resolved before the 2022s were produced. If not… Mine is a CPO, will it be covered under the 7year, 100k power train warrranty?

I know it affected a lot of the 2021 cars. It is covered by the power train warranty and the bumper to bumper warranty as well.
