Default 2021 CX-5 AWD carbon Turbo edition - TPMS sensors?

Wanting to get a spare set of wheels/tires for winter for the 2021 CX-5 AWD turbo carbon edition. Anyone know if I need TPMS sensors and if so, what kind (frequency) should I get? Some Mazda’s do not use sensors and some do.

They do use TPMS sensors, 315 MHz. I got GDDL37140. All 2018+ CX-5s use TPMS sensors, earlier ones do not.

Not trying to highjack thread but has anyone figured out how to receive pressure information from pre-2018 sensors? (not the generic warning but specific information per tire)

No, pre 2018 CX-5s had ABS based TPMS. The difference in rotational speed is what the TPMS used to indicate a low pressure tire.

I also looked into getting steel wheels and dedicated snow tires for my CX 5 and was told it was a must to install the sensors. Maybe it was a scare tactic but our local government auto insurance might not cover you if you're in an accident and you bypass the sensors.
