Default 2021 Cargo Mat?

Does Mazda make a rubber cargo mat for the 2021 CX5? I don't see it listed in the accessories.

The Weathertech one I ordered the arrived today and I'm just not real happy with it. I've had their floor and cargo mats in my last 3 cars and they've been great but the fitment on this one just isn't up to what I expect from them.

What about this one? With the flap to protect the back bumper, then it won't have to fit so tight against the back door edge and it protects the bumper.

Hmmm that's an option too

Mazda does make a cargo mat for the 2021 - 0000-8B-R23 Cargo tray $65. They were completely out of all-weather floor mats and cargo trays in the Northeast, so I ordered one from MazdaPartsHQ in Arizona.

Thanks I thought I remembered seeing those on the Mazda site but then they were gone when I looked again!

They were backordered for the longest time and I think they took them off the website until they were back in stock. Picked up our CX-5 in February and could not find floor mats or the cargo tray anywhere. Every placed said they were backordered and no estimates on when they would be in stock. Did some internet searching and discovered some down in Arizona, with cheaper prices (even after adding in shipping) that the locals wanted.

The lip on the Mazda mat is only about 1/2" tall, so the WeatherTech mat is much better in that regard if you are going to be carrying really sloppy stuff. Same goes for the all-weather floor mats. the main thing that I don't like about the Mazda mats is they don't cover the "dead" pedal area.

We've got the Mazda cargo mat in the back of our 2014 CX5. If this is similar to that it should be fine for my purposes.

I got them to throw in a set of the Mazda rubber floor mats. They're decent but yeah don't have as good of coverage as the Weathertech ones. I'm debating on getting a set of those we'll see how it goes.

I'm going to call the dealer down the street to see if they have a set of the 0000-8B-R23 and what the price is. If they don't have them or it's too expensive I'll just order them up from the MazdapartsHQ. I think I may have gotten something for my old Mazda 3 from them back in the day.

I have the Mazda one in my 19 and like it very well. It doesn't have high edges but it is a very substantial mat. It is the same mat from years 17-21

I just got off the horn with the dealership down the street. They've got one left. It's $89.00. I think I'm just going to go ahead and get it there. With tax it'll probably be about $12 more than having it shipped from MazdaPartsHQ but I'll have it today and it's good to support the local business.

So what will you do with your WeatherTech mat?
