Default 2021 Cargo Mat

Hi, pretty sure they are all the same but will the 17-20 rear rubber cargo mat fit the 2021 also ?
Thanks

I'm a fan of Weather Tech, they aren't cheap, but have always worked well for me. They list a cargo mat for the 2021 CX-5 on their web site. They have floor liners listed as well.

As far as I can tell you have to be careful with nomenclature

Mazda sells two parts
Cargo Mat #0000-8B-R24 made of carpet
Cargo Tray #0000-8B-R23 made of rubber

I have seen photos of the Mazda rubber Cargo Tray, and it has two rectangular indents that allow access to the cargo hooks in the floorboard, adjacent to the wheel wells, a few inches behind the seats. This means you can use the accessory Cargo Net #Name: spacer.gif

Size: 43 Bytes 0000-8K-R31. The Mazda rubber mat also *looks* as if it has little hinge areas that allow you to fold back the Cargo Tray corner to get to the hidden triangular compartments. I have not really looked for pictures of the carpet mat, but I assume they have the requisite cut outs.

WeatherTech makes a much more expensive Cargo/Trunk liner. I called WeatherTech about the cargo hook cutouts and was told there are molded areas that are meant to be cut out if you want access to the hooks. I forgot to ask about the access to the triangular areas

I have the oem cargo tray and yes, it allows for the net to be used(hooks) and does allow access to the side storage areas. I love the tray. Highly recommend it.

I'm gonna get a liner also. Preferences for the WT or OEM?

WeatherTech makes a superior product, if somewhat pricey. I have all WeatherTech stuff in my Jeep, but I went with the OEM on the CX5 because of the cutouts and access to storage.
