Default 2020 cx-5 gt reserve turbo or cx-5 gt

Good Morning,

Im debating on which CX-5 to get, its between a 2020 CX-5 Grand touring 2,200k miles or a 2020 Grand touring reserve turbo with 8,500 miles. Can someone tell if the Turbo is problematic, I really like both and they are priced similar.

I would go for the GTR if the price is the same. Have you driven both? Dramatic difference in power. Is the GT and AWD car? The GTR will be AWD as standard. Mileage is of course a lot less on the turbo if that is a concern and you must use premium to get full power on the turbo while the GT only needs regular.

The extra horsepower of the turbo engine is hard to ignore. Even if you run regular fuel, you still have more ooomph.
IIRC ALL allwheel drive Mazdas are turbo engined.

FYI you can get AWD on normal aspirated CX-5's. It has always been optional and for '22 is standard across the board. There were also FWD turbocharged cars in '21 (the Carbon edition offered it). The CX-9 has also been available with the 2.5T and FWD for years.
