First time here. I bought a new Mazda CX-5 Touring trim back in July of 2017. About a month following, I began to hear a rattle coming from the front when pressing on the acceleration.

• happens at lower RPMs, between 25-45 MPH only
  

I've included an audio file that was recorded with my mic facing the front of the car, sitting in the middle console. I was on a flat road with a speed limit of 35. I was letting the car idle down to 25, then slowly accelerating up to about 40.

 

Thanks for sharing this. I also have a 2017 Mazda CX-5 AWD with the same issue. I suspect it's a belt tensioner because the noise sounds like it's coming from the right/passenger side (USA).

How many miles does your car have? Mine is only at 22k.

This is my first time on this forum, bear with me. My wife's 2018 cx5 has this sound also where at 79000 K. It's funny though, to me it sounds like a cricketty sound. My mechanic found the problem. It's the belt tensioner, at the same time best to change the serpentine belt also. I'm now searching for OEM parts for the car... Always stay with OEM parts, might be pricey but less doubt in OEM. If you buy the parts, get your mechanic to do the repair, All Mazda dealerships especially PRIMA MAZDA at HWY 7 / Martin Grove in Brampton are scammers. If you go there, never trust this A>>H...
