I have a 2017 CX-5 Grand Touring with a cracked passenger Tail light lens. Have ordered a new one. When I took the old one off, I could not determine how to unplug it from the automobile wiring. There is a connector somewhere in the body of the car. I know from the replacement that there is a plug fished into the body in the trunk behind a rubber grommet. Will I need to take the panel off inside the cargo area? Just wondering how big a task here. Thought it'd be unplug and re-plug... Done.

Thanks, but those are for older model than mine. My vehicle doesn't have the access panel in the trunk cargo area. I am wondering what panels I would need to remove to get to the harness plug that the light assembly mates to.
