Default 2016 CX5 Concern

I recv'd my monthly Mazda CX-5 magazine and it said in there the mid 2016 CX-5 has new features such as standard equip in the touring is navigation and heated seats. What about us Mazda CX-5 owners who bought ours 5 months prior? So much for loyal Mazda owners better yet where are the loyal Mazda Dealers?

Apparently you haven't noticed that Mazda has adopted a plan to make incremental improvements to it's vehicles on an ongoing basis rather that wait for traditional model year re-dos. Most buyers support this. Besides, it's not the end of the world now is it?

It's no different than buying anything else. Computers, refrigerators, flat screen t.v. Trying to figure out what else I bought last year that improved 2 weeks after I got it. I myself, think it's a great idea. Like Paris1 stated, it keeps their vehicles fresh. And I'll bet Mazda dealers offer better deals since the inventory technically goes "stale" in 6 months with mid year releases.

Biojoe, are you happy with your CX-5? That's what counts

I am happy with my CX-5 however, my loyalty to Mazda has changed. If I recall their loyalty program is $500 off on a new vehicle if your a previous Mazda owner.

I don't understand. You did your research, made your deal, were happy with it. Nothing has changed. What difference does it make what kind of deal you could make today.

Didn't they increase the cost of the car when they included these new features? I'm sure there are now people asking why they should pay more for features they don't want. Can't win them all.

I just got a 2016.5 and the dealer explained that they included the $400 Nav. card in all models, but kept the price the same. I agree it sticks for those that paid the extra cost for the Nav chip, but whether it is a 2016.5 or a 2017, there is nothing you can do about it after the paperwork is done.

I really don't understand what Biojoe is complaining about; early adopters always get "it" first, but they rarely are able to get "it" with the all of the latest goodies. Think about it this way; say I bought a new Miata a month ago, and then I saw the video from the New York Auto Show which shows the new convertible hard-top Miata, and further say I *really* like the new hard-top better than the rag-top.

Are you somehow suggesting Mazda should graft a hard-top to an almost new Miata because I didn't know about the new arrangement before buying the car?
