2016 CX-5: loud click on changing between low gears
2016 CX-5 automatic: 37k miles
When I go from park into drive or reverse; when I come to a stop, and then when I accelerate again; in all these situations I hear a single loud *click*, coming from the front of the car. Never more than one click. It's a click not a clunk, like a thin strip of metal is getting flipped over a bump; "tink"; I can feel it in my feet.
I think the sound has been there since I got the car a few months ago (I don't drive a lot lately, a confusing summer); it had had a control arm replaced before I bought it, and a CV joint broke soon after I got it. But it doesn't feel like a suspension noise. Idunno, any ideas? Is it normal?
thanks

Common problem is either the from where the brake pads contact the retainer shims, or the calliper slide pins rattling. Lubricating the slide pins and where the brake pads contact the shims can fix the issue.
