What does my opinion about Mazda have to do with trying to help some one solve a problem?? Absolutely nothing.

Comprehension apparently is not your strong point. Your opinion on a subject has everything to do with your advice, as this thread has consistently pointed out.

With the caliper off, I put it into maintenance mode, but the piston came out further. Then I started messing with it, and unscrewed the entire piston, brake fluid everywhere, and a tiny snap ring came out.

So....how screwed am I? I don't know where the snap ring goes. I can thread the inner part of the piston back in, but can't get the cover back on. Even if I could, there's no fluid in there and it would still be extended all the way out. Please help!

Did you ever find out where it goes?
