Hi All - my wife and I considering a project with our garage that would help us gain entry width by replacing the center support structure with something more narrow. We got a structural engineer to officially "bless" that part with the plan and documents required for the permit.

We still feel like it will be a tight squeeze afterwards. I see the listed width of her 2014 CX-5 is 72" not counting the side mirrors. Does anyone know 1) how much width the side mirrors add and 2) how much they add after being folded in.

Open the front windows and measure it with a tape measure.
