Default Skyactice X

Hi all. My first post and possibly my first Mazda soon. I am looking to buy 2021 CX-30/2.0/x186. It has 57.000 km. I would kindly ask you guys how reliable is this engine. Can I expect some trouble in the future. Or is it from a realibility point better a G engine? I do not care to much about the power of a car. Thank you all for sharing your knowledge. Tnx

It actually helps if you complete a profile at least state where in the world you live. it does matter for service-related question and advise.

If you do the normal; maintenance sooner than what Mazda states as well a transmission pan filter fluid service at no more than 30k miles, change the spark plugs at no more than 50K miles air filter at leat before summer and before winter months or sooner depending on air quality, then you should have a reliable trouble-free running gear.
Check your VIN for TSBs and active safety recalls or any service-related advisories or have your Mazda dealership do a service VIN search to get a complete dealership service dept history.

Welcome to the forum! Calisto made a lot of good points.

My wife and I own a 2021 Mazda CX-30 with the 2.5L "Skyactiv" non-turbo 2.5L engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. We bought it new five years ago next month. Mostly trouble-free so far. We even took it over to Germany with us for a couple years and it got to see a lot of Europe. We even drove it in the UK for a week (went on a train with it through the Euro Tunnel) and spent 7 days driving on the left side of the road! Our Mazda did okay on the Autobahn too - sometimes at triple digit speeds.

If you have the 2.0L engine, I am assuming you are in Europe. The buyers of the CX-30 in the EU get the 2.0L engine. They also get a six-speed manual transmission OR an automatic. US buyers only get the 2.5L engine (turbo or non-turbo) with the automatic being the only gearbox offered.

The CX-30 for both the US and the EU is built in Mexico - same factory!

I assumed that was the case because you listed your mileage as being in kilometers and you said that you had a 2.0 L engine.

The CX-30 in the USA has a 2.5L. The Germans get a 2.0L, but at least they have the option of getting a manual transmission.
