Default scanner and battery drain

I am having battery drain problems. I've checked the battery and the alternator, all the usuall tests.:1. Battery engine off – 12.28v

2. Battery engine start – 12v

3. Alternator engine running – 13.72

4. Alternator engine running, accessories – 13.7

5. Alternator engine running accessories, 3000rpm – 13.75

6. Alternator engine running, no accessories, 3000rpm – 13.70

7. Amp draw – 6
Would an OBD scan tool help me pinpoint the problem?

So first you load test the battery. Your stabilized voltage should no less then 12.50
please don’t tell us how old the battery is or any other information except how the load test concluded with the battery.

Then check ECU for any pending DTC, permanent DTC and also your I/m monitors

Depending if the scanning tool has a volt ohm setting if not then not really. You would need to do the usual checking the electrical system and components using a digital volt ohm meter. You would also need the factory service information to know the current draw of each circuit when the engine and ignition are off . There are some area’s that have a very small system draw and they need to be accounted for and checked for correct draw.
