Rust/ Paint Chips
I purchased my CX-30 back in March and since then I've done my usual weekly wash. This week I noticed a little brown/ red spot on the hood that I think looks and feels like rust oddly enough? I took a closer look at my hood and I think I've also found two tiny paint chips too.
I did some reading here and on the various Mazda Reddits and from what I can tell, this is fairly common with Mazda and the paint they use? Thankfully my CX-30 is silver so it's not terribly noticeable.
I was curious if any other CX-30 owners had noticed similar issues yet and, if you made an appointment with your dealer, what did they offer to do to fix the issue? The spot that looks like rust really concerns me. The paint chips are annoying but I'm guessing I can read around here and Reddit and see what other owners recommend to seal or patch them so they don't grow over time and become worse.

I've has mazdas for 20 years. The paint has always been terrible. They rust up like cars from the 70s and Mazda has no warranty for rust like others do.
I just gave up a 2018 Mazda 3 and I could literally scratch the paint with my fingernail. Taking delivery of my CX-30 next week. Definitely seems to be the usual mazda paint process on these. I wonder if the premium paints are nay different.

I re-checked the Mazda rust warranty in the US and it is 5 years/unlimited miles warranty. Not sure about chip+rust though, if that is correct, then it is indeed a bummer.

Fingers crossed...
Update about the rust and paint chip issues I'd noticed on my hood- I took my CX-30 in for the front brake caliper recall work today and the dealer I visited basically said "Wow, that's too bad, you should take it somewhere and have that rust spot fixed."
Obviously, I wasn't expecting them to do anything about the paint chips but it is pretty disappointing that they think rust is normal on a vehicle that was purchased new in March.

Yeah, I brought that up and the service representative just kept repeating that the rust spot must have been a result of debris hitting the hood, chipping the paint, and then rusting. He just kept insinuating that it was my fault.
