Default question on the hood alignment on the new CX 30

I noticed on the hood that where it meets the front bumper fascia on the top one side is a bit lower than the bumper top and the other side is a bit higher. I mentioned this to the dealer and they suggested I contact body shop and have them do the necessary adjustments and then they the dealer would work with them for them to get paid.
Is this a common issue on the cx-30 and then the next question is how does one adjust the front height of the hood where it joins the front bumper upper facia?
Thanks for any responses on this.

Body part alignment is rare but it happens. I could give examples all day long as well observation on customers vehicles but never mention to them. We are not a body shop and if it didn't bother them then no need them freaking out.

It is unusual that your dealer would not take care of it. However, before the peanut gallery starts in with IT UNDER WARRANTY (and you should demand BS) I should point out that dealership are independently owned. There is NOTHING in the MAZDA dealership contract that states a dealership must have a BODY SHOP. But Many dealerships on various platforms use a local body shop for warranty work and submit the claims to MAZDA Crop (in your case MAZDA USA) to get the reimbursed of coat to farm out the work.

So, in your case it may be perfectly correct!

Did you try to turn stop rubbers?
If there is only height difference there is no need to take it to body shop.

Thanks for the reply.
That is the issue--the passenger side front of the hood is below the front facia by 1/8"-1/4,", the driver side is above the facia by the same amount .
Do you have a pic of where the turn stop rubbers are located?
