We bought our 2021 CX-30 four years ago next month here in Virginia. It has been good to us overall. Fuel mileage - dividing miles driven by gallons used between fill ups - is around 26 in the city and 31 to 33 on the Interstate.........depending upon how judicious you are with your right foot and using the cruise control. We have almost 37,000 miles on it now with no major issues to speak of. We even had it shipped to Germany and drove it for two years in Europe! Then we had it sent back to the USA. ( We picked it up at the port in Chesapeake last month. )

Driving in the UK for a week was quite an experience (they drive on the left) and Mazda sells a lot of cars in England.......with right-hand-drive, of course.

Ours is the Premium trim level with all-wheel-drive and the 2.5L non-turbo engine. ( The turbo engine was not yet available when we bought ours. ) I would highly recommend the CX-30, but the rear seat legroom is a bit on the cozy side. If you frequently haul four or more people in the car, I'd go for the CX-5, which is a tiny bit bigger. Not sure about the CX-50 in that regard............but the CX-90 is much larger and can even be had with a third row of seats. Mazda has certainlyh stepped up their game!
