My Radiator fan has come on after trips over the last couple of days. I only noticed it for the first time the other night and it has come on every trip since
I bought the car just under a week ago.
i have checked the coolant and it did need a top up but nothing much
i know that Mazda does have the feature where the fan comes on after trips to disperse heat
just wondering if this is normal behaviour or not, as I sad I’ve only had the car for 5 days or so, so I’m not sure how they behave
Mazda is a CX3 1.5TD 2017 sport Nav with just over 70k miles

Sorry I left my crystal ball at home so I cant ask the year trim model, engine size and fuel type , miles (basic questions more info the better) on your Mazda. Maybe in the future it really helps to reply with the very basic information when asking service advise?
Different countries have different engines and other and you signature does not state where in the world your reside?

On that model the ECU will run the fans depending on the sensors input for a short period after the engine is shut off. If it does not shut off or runs more than about 3-4 minutes(5 minutes max.), then you have something that needs looking into.

 

it seems to stay on for 3-4 minutes then shuts off

 

Ok then normal

Unless you get a Check Engine light you have not posted anything of concern?
